In a statement released by the party’s Central Committee, ODM said its participation in the current administration is guided by a ten-point agenda agreed upon to promote unity and development across the country.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has reaffirmed its commitment to remain part of the broad-based government until 2027.

In a statement released by the party’s Central Committee, ODM said its participation in the current administration is guided by a ten-point agenda agreed upon to promote unity and development across the country.

“We reiterate the commitment of the Party to the broad-based government until 2027, a relationship guided by the ten-point agenda entered into for the sake of peace and stability of the country,” the committee said.

The statement comes amid ongoing discussions within Kenya’s political landscape about the future of the broad-based government, which was mainly championed by late former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.

The party emphasized that its continued engagement in the arrangement is rooted in its long-standing belief in dialogue and consensus-building as tools for sustaining peace and advancing national interests.

ODM’s Central Committee noted that the partnership is not merely political but anchored on shared goals meant to deliver tangible benefits to Kenyans through the agreed reform agenda.

The statement also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to work collaboratively with all partners under the framework, even as it continues to champion accountability and good governance.

ODM’s reaffirmation comes at a time when the party is undergoing internal reorganization following the death of its long-serving leader, Raila Odinga, and the endorsement of Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga as his successor.

The committee said the party remains focused on stability and unity both within its ranks and in the broader national context, pledging to continue supporting efforts that strengthen peace, economic growth, and social justice.

The party has vowed to continue championing the ideals and causes that its late leader, Raila Odinga, dedicated his life to, promising to preserve party unity and remain steadfast in service to the nation.

ODM affirmed its commitment to honour Odinga’s legacy by advancing the principles he stood for throughout his political career.

“As the top leadership of this party, we shall pursue all causes he dedicated his life to, do everything within our power to uphold the unity of the party and apply lessons learnt from our departed leader and comrade in the service of the nation and a people he loved and fought for,” the statement read.

The party described Odinga as a visionary leader who devoted his life to the struggle for democracy, justice, and equality in Kenya.

His passing, ODM noted, has left a deep void, but his ideals would continue to guide the movement’s path forward.

ODM leadership emphasized that unity will remain the cornerstone of the party’s agenda as it navigates this period of transition.

The statement underscored the leadership’s resolve to keep the party strong, cohesive, and focused on the aspirations of ordinary Kenyans.
